Mary MacKillop Penola Centre – Gallery Upgrades

The Mary MacKillop Penola Centre is proud to announce its recent success in securing a grant from the History Trust of South Australia. This generous funding has enabled the Centre to make significant upgrades to the Mary MacKillop Gallery, enriching the experience for all who visit this important historical site. The grant has facilitated the purchase of new museum-grade vitrines, ensuring better preservation and display of  artefacts related to Mary MacKillop’s life and legacy.

In addition to the new vitrines, the Centre has also modernised its early display panels, transforming them into a more vibrant and engaging exhibition. These updates enhance storytelling and visitor interaction, helping to bring the remarkable journey of Mary MacKillop and the Sisters of Saint Joseph to life. The Mary MacKillop Penola Centre is grateful to the History Trust SA for supporting this project and looks forward to welcoming visitors to explore the refreshed gallery space.
