Lighting Upgrade Transforms Mary MacKillop Gallery Experience

Thanks to a generous grant from the Tourism Industry Council of South Australia, the Mary MacKillop Gallery has undergone a remarkable lighting upgrade –  ‘Illuminating Experiences’ – ushering in a new era of dramatic, immersive presentation for our beautiful displays. The grant has given the Centre the initial impetus to begin  a major lighting renovation project which will be completed over the next few years.

The new lighting system replaces the original setup with a state-of-the-art solution that not only enhances visibility but also redefines the atmosphere of the gallery. Visitors can now experience the space with greater clarity, contrast, and ambiance, making the storytelling and spiritual journey through Mary MacKillop’s life more powerful than ever before.

This transformation has created a richer, more intimate environment—allowing each exhibit to stand out and engage viewers in deeper and more emotionally resonant ways.
